As with Shogun: Total War I was very impressed with this game which is part of the same series. I think it incredible to be able to have in excess of a thousand troops on each side of a battle.
Sometimes I found myself wanting better control over their actions, but to be honest, it would become far too complicated and the control system as it is tends to be very easy to use. In fact, I'd go as far as to say that it is some feat to be able to control an army of a thousand or more men effectively, but it's quite possible in the Total War games.
Very impressed, played it for quite a bit, and I'm not a huge fan of RTS games any more so it had to be good for me to do that. Would recommend to any RTS fan.
