This is hands down the most beautiful game on the PS2, let alone any system. That is a very powerful statement considring that this game made it's debut when the PS2 was released. Although there is nearly 300 less cars in this game than GT2 (there is approximately 180), it still has way more cars than most other racing games out there, and best of all, they're all real-life cars from top manufacturers around the world.
There really is no point in repeating myself in how everything in this game is perfect to near-perfect; so I'll just move on to the one major flaw that this game has, no car damage! This is a crucial thing that any realistic car simulator must have. Although there is a good explanation for this; they could not get all the car companies to allow car damage to their cars, this is still something that badly hurts the game.
The only other thing that others did not like about this game was the vastness of this game; they felt that if this game was shorter, it would be better. While that is in a way true, as some of the endurance races in this game are a gruesome 2 or 3 hours long, Polyphony Digital was only trying to make things better by making this a realistic, and lengthy experience.
Overall, this is a masterpiece of a game, with possibly the most beautiful and polished graphics of any game. Everything else in this game is also simply put, superb. The only thing that detracts from this game is the lack of car damage, but overall, that does not keep this game from getting a perfect score.
