With so many me-too FPSes on the market NOLF2 comes as a breath of fresh air. A highly enjoyable romp (it deserves the term) through the OTT 60s spy flick era, bringing a degree of variety and imagination in locations, mission objectives, weapons, vehicle use and enemies that many other developers would do well to learn from. It is sometimes funny, always entertaining, long enough to be good value, but never boring. It even includes a multiplayer co-op mission (all too rare on the PC, and it's a pity they didn't expand this). Make no mistake, this is up there with Half-Life and Deus Ex - don't be put off by the slightly camp theme. A great way to kill mimes, sorry...time.
