Extremely linear, repetitive and dull single-player game. But great online multiplayer. Despite the illusion of the open island environment you basically spend your single-player life in one big trench with high foliage walls. The game lacks even a fragment of the imagination of a great FPS like HL2. Got so bored trying to beat the final boss (basically hammer away with no skill and hope you don't run out of health, but you will, over and over again) I just gave up in the end. In marked contrast the multiplayer game is great - a nice range of vehicles with a couple of interesting twists and all the basic game types covered. Buy for the online experience, don't waste your time otherwise.
