I sat down with Mario Kart: Double Dash!! for a solid hour. After an hour of Gameplay, I wish to say that this game is bland. There is nothing special, the difficulty is a joke, and the entire game seems...Empty.
The Graphics are crisp, colorful, and beautiful. Its a perfect treat to the eye. The entire game may sell well due to the Graphics. Simply gorgeous visuals.
The Gameplay IMO, is what takes the biggest hit. The game is bland overall. There 2 characters per kart feature means nothing. Hardly any change in Gameplay or anything fresh or new can be found. The game has a very lackluster difficulty level. The other kart racers are a pushover and are rarely aggressive. The tracks are nothing special. There are 4 circuts in the game with 4 races each (Deja Vu anyone?). None of the tracks make one feel "Wow, this is great." A sorry dissapointment all in all to say the least.
The music and sound is light-hearted, but not annoying to listen to.
Overall, MK: DD!! is a vast disapointment that I don't see anyone wanting to play long.
