Skies of Arcadia Legends is one of the better games to come out for Gamecube. It's also one of the better RPGs for a long time.
This game is a port from the legendary Sega Dreamcast game. It is evident by looking at the graphics if this game. More or less, the Dreamcast engine is used to give this game the graphics power. But the Gameplay is what redeems the so-so graphics.
The gameplay found in this game makes it clear why its one of the better RPGs to come out for a current generation console. Character development is magnificent. For the most part, the characters need to be leveled up and equipped properly to go in the right direction. What is unique though that you may equip a weapon with a sort of element stone. This gives the weapons characteristics of that element. Like water will do more damage to fire. Another great thing about this game with the elemental magic is the magic spells you learn. There are a variety of spells to learn, and they are all great.
One great thing to do as a side mission is the bounty hunts. Through the course of the game, many new Pirates get a bounty on their head, you may decide to track them down if you so please. Another great aspect of this game is not only character development, but building up on ships as well.
The music and sound are absolutely gorgeous. The music is astounding, just like what is expected from Sega.
