It's official, I have become a fanatic with the .hack series.  While the first game successfully hooked a decent sized Fan audience, the second turns the fan base into a cultist group for the series.  This game first off, is mainly for those like me who have played and beaten .hack part 1.  It is much better to load the data from part 1 cause in the beginning of this game, you are already throw into a high level dungeon.

The graphics engine remain as it was, for important Cut-Scenes, high rendered beautiful character designs that were done by the legendary Yoshiyuki Sadamoto, characters designer of the legendary Anime series, Neon Genesis Evangelion.  However, the graphics seemed dumbed down during gameplay and less important cut-scenes.

The Gameplay stays EXTREMELY similar to the original.  From the combat to things like Gate Hacking and Data drain.  But this game pits you against tougher bosses than last time and the dungeons will be much tougher.  Other than that, the story is the only dramatic change, you met some cool new characters like Moonstone and Nuke Usag., plus old characters from the first like Piros and BlackRose.  However, you meet so many new characters, but you can only still hold 2 others in a party, they should at least let you invite more, like 4 others.  Other than that, I have no complaints.  If you played and liked the first (.Hack) then do yourself a favor an buy this next installment, for those interested in it, Please buy the first part, cause this game nearly requires you to start with High level characters and an understanding of the story.
