Introduction : It is an action adventure game. It is the best action game on PS2. That doesn't
mean, it is targeted towards kids. It is a superb game for everyone. I bet you'll love it. The
game has a special use of high-tech gadgets. It is a game worth buying.
Storyline in brief
an evil man named Drek is on his way to destroy planets. He hired expert scientists to create
the most dangerous weapon of all time. He also owns a factory which creates massive robot army.
His principle objective is to destroy all the planets which is fairly easy for him. But things
go wrong. Ratchet with a robot called Clank opposes Drek. So the game revolves around futuristic
world. Ratchet & Clank travels from planet to planet finding clues to Drek's doom. Yes, they
fight numerous robots and acquire many many weapons and gadgets!!!
Game features
- Have spaceship for traveling. Though you can't drive it.
- You can drive planes to attack enemies' ships.
- Most of the time, you play with Ratchet (He has many variety of moves). Small Clank can be
played very less (less moves). Big Clank can be played less (The most powerful moves).
- There are more then 15 different weapons.
- There are above 15 different high-tech gadgets.
- There are many special items.
- Many of the above-mentioned things you have to buy. Some you get for free.
- Earning money: counts by acquiring bolts. You get bolts by destroying boxes and killing enemies.
- There are around 15 unique planets.
- Camera angle can be changed as you like.
- Brilliant graphics, characters are well designed. Cool water animation. Exellent bomb graphics.
- The game is not so tough.
- Clear movies in between the game.
- You can swim fast, fly a bit, skate to win race and can do tricks to earn score.
My opinion
I never liked a cartoon game being a 16 year old boy. But playing Ratchet & Clank, I changed my
view. There are some exciting cartoon games. I believe Ratchet & Clank is the best cartoon game
on PS2. It can equal to games like Metal Gear Solid 2, GTA3, etc.
