If you like racing games, but like me, just couldn't get into Gran Turismo, then this is the game for you.
The setup of Gadget Racers is almost identical to Gran Turismo. You start with nothing but a junk car, and then win races and aquire licenses that earn you money to buy parts and new cars.
I found Gran Turismo to be tedious, hard to control and not fun at all. It felt more like a chore than a game. I want to play a game to have fun, not to feel like I'm working.
With Gadget Racers, it was all fun. The game plays great, rarely frustrates and is highly addictive. There are 120 parts to collect, 100 cars to get and 97 courses to race; yes, I said 97; and they're not mirrored or reverse versions of the same course, they are all unique.
It seems most everyone gave Gran Turismo a "10", but for the rest of us, Gadget Racers is our "10".
