This game is an evolution of NCAA Football 2003, just like most of EA Sports games are. But, when a game is as solid and fun as NCAA Football, a revolution is not needed. This game is has better and crisper graphics and animations than its ancestors. It has more fluid gameplay and it is the deepest College Football game ever. It features and improved and deeper franchise recruiting mode, more franchise awards, all new teams, and all sorts of new features. The new EA Bio is a thing of genius, basically it is an expanded profile that keeps track of all your various play statistics over a wide range of EA games.
Gameplay wise, the game has improved to better emulate the way the real-life game is actually played. The game has made drastic strides in accomedating the agile and more moble Quaterbacks in todys game.
Unfortunately, the defense has not been improved enough to stop those aqile QBs. The defense is slow and sluggish when defending a play where the QB rolls out with the intent to pass, bt instead tucks the ball and runs. This makes for games that have the QB running for over 100 yards and passing for over 300 yards. Even against the computers higher difficulty levels. Also, playing positions like DB or even coverage LB is nigh impossible. That needs to be worked on.
This is the best NCAA football game yet and if next year they can make the improvements on defense to keep up with the improvements on offense, then all College football fans will be in for a great treat.
