I'll start off with the things I was afraid of. Graphic problems (like the console versions) and load times (because it's a psp game). The graphics are basically like GTA III's, except a little better. The PSP's screen makes everything sharp and colorful, the draw distance and pop in is still a problem, but everything really does look great. The load times are not bad. One big one in the beginning like the consoles, and shorter ones inbetween islands. There is slow down when big explosions or there are lots of things going on onscreen, but I didn't notice untill I looked for it.

The battery also concerned me. I played it off the adapter everything on medium and got around 3 hours of battery life. Not bad for a portable GTA 3, but worse than any other game out right now. It does call for a lot of power though so it's understandable.

The sound is fantastic. The radio stations are all intact (probably more stuff than Vice City's or GTA 3's, not surprising since Tony Hawk Underground 2 had twice as much music). Voice acting was great too.

The controls do make you stumble a bit at first. I really liked San Andrea's controls but these are deffinatly a step backwards. Its awkward at first, but the shooting is actually easier than GTA 3's since you can cycle through enemies and everything works out once you get used to it. Not sure how long it is, I'm guessing the same length as GTA III's. Right now I'm stuck on a chinese triad chase mission, but I've been through many gangs mission's. The Taxi, Police, Firefighter's missions are all here, as well as some new ones like trash master.

If you've played GTA III and memorized where everything is that will help here a lot. The buildings are diffrent but the roads are still the same. There is still a map and everything though in case you forgot, but sadly, the red thingy from San Andreas to help you find locations is gone. The car models are roughly the same, some new ones and hidden ones, but I haven't seen them. The motorcycles are awesome. You can still do wheelies and they're fast. I always wished bikes would be in GTA III, they deffinatly work awesome.

I guess that's all to say. A portable GTA III, just think about that. Deffinatly worth the 50 bucks, it also has a wow factor. Bringing it to school, noone could belive the psp could bring out this kind of game, it's simply pretty cool to have it on the go.

I would give it a 9 out of 10. Good- If you like GTA...it's on the go. That pretty much sums it up. Bad- Battery life is taxing...has same problems as console GTA's.
