Some of you might not remember this, but Beyond the Beyond was the *first* RPG on the PSX; I drove the guys at EB crazy for weeks leading up to its delayed release. And regardless of how it compares to later additions to the PSX RPG library, when BtB came out, it was a masterpiece. I spent many junior year nights walking around the pseudo-16 bit world, leveling and finally figuring out the slide-puzzle near the beginning of the game (remember the goddess' face on the tesserae?). Worth owning for nostalgia's sake.
