This game is really impressive, even after playing Homeworld 2 and buying this game for $7.99. I played a few years before, and it was freakin' amazing then. I never really got into the single player on this and just dove in online.
The graphics are amazing, even though now where near as good as Homeworld 2, for it's time, it was freakin' unbelievable. I loved the way they made it 3D. There weren't only four angles to look at what was happening, but rather an infinite possibility. The engine for the game must've taken a while to make because it's pretty damn good.
The game play is great, but Homeworld 2 as a much easier interface. The game, in it's own way, is a bit better than Homeworld 2 because it won't limit your fleet to such a smaller size. I don't like how you have so many options to start a game and you get to choose how amny resources you get given to you in this amount of time and such. That jsut ruins the whole strategy and managing part of the game.
When in multiplayer or doing a skirmish with the CPU, you get to choose two races to be, the Kushan or the Taiidan. Each has their own form of ships and weapons.
Over all, this game is damn as hell one of the best for it's time and probably still today. I give it a 10/10 for great graphics, great gameplay, and it's fun.
