This is the first zelda game i've played, oddly enough. i've been playing games since da 8D's and like, how i've gone link-less is a mystery even to myself.
perhaps it was cause i didn't like playing with marnie ellis too much cause she was such a sore winner and kicked my ass at almost every videogame i played over her house and it got really annoying. and since she was the only person i knew that i was friends with who had the game, i thus, missed out on the playing of the zelda and never got hooked for life. i fell into super mario bros. and never looked left or right.
fast forward 16 years and here i is, playing my first zelda game ever. and without having to play the wind waker's predecessors, i know, by proxy, how amazing they all were in the triumphant new glimmer of this gem of a videogame.
i really don't wanna spoil my review with mundane talks of how great the controls are, and how stunning the visuals are, and how fun the puzzles are. just believe me when i tell you they are ace. haha. ACE I TELL YOU!
i still have a mushy caramel center for my childhood games that i OWNED and adored for what seemed like lifetimes. but Pitfall II, you have been dethroned by The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker as my favourite, most favourite game of all time. If you truly knew what that meant to this girl who's review you are reading, you'd know that this is the best game ever.
