Pros: It had a very successful run in the arcades.

This game would not even appeal to the oddball kid in class that tells everyone his dream is to be a truck driver.
The premise is quite simply. Selecting from four available rigs, your job is to navigate across the United States, from New York to California while overcoming obstacles including time and rival trucks. 18-Wheeler follows the standard approach for a racer, allowing you to upgrade your trucks to make the romp cross-country a tad bit easier. While this formula has succeeded with other games, the mere fact that this is a trucking sim would lend to the fact that Acclaim should have gone above and beyond the standard fare. Since they did not, the game has little to no replay value.
