When I first got ADSL connection on my computer I figured that I should download some demos, cause I don't like illegal game copying. And one of the demos I downloaded was Beyond Good & Evil. I've always been interested in the game but never though of actually buying it. But when the demo started and I heard all of those happy tunes and sound effects I realised this was a must buy, so i bought it!
Beyond Good & Evil features some great animations and the whole look is pretty much fantastic. There are a lot of colours and the game just smiled to you when playing it.
The music is happy and the sound effects are calming and does their job very good in every possible way.
The gameplay is kind of a mixture of different genres. There is adventure, action, racing, sneaking, horror! (a little bit) and RPG. The game is basically an action/adventure but you get to join races that play just as well as new racing games. You get a kind of RPG feeling when you can join newsletters and complete side quest. When the aliens attack everything is kind of scary. The game does everything perfectly. The sneaking genre is very much active in the dungeons. The story is very good featuring Jade and her uncle Pey'j that's about to find out that the Alpha Sections hide a very big secret that features both world domination and aliens! This game is truly awesome and it's so happy and entertaining that you just don't want it to end. But it does, and all too early too. This game isn't long. I used about 10 hours to finish it and that includes me finding 85/88 pearls in the game, and that means almost 100%! This game is still one of the very best plattform games available on the Gamecube. If you don't mind that games are short, go buy it. If you don't like short games, think about it, cause this is really a great game after all.

The game is all too short, it should have been twice as long really!
