Finally tried this game… ;) and just finished it. Cool game! I was a big fan of Master of Orion 2. I was a little disappointed with the #3 but that's life….
Some of you will say…. It's about time you try it…. With so many games...

Space, where no one can hear you quash anouther growing civilization. Galactic domination at it's best, this game puts you in the shoes of the new earth empire formed when earth introduces a new way for various alien peoples and of corse humans to...

I love this game. I have waited years for a game like Masters of Orion and finally my prayers have been answered.
Based off of Masters of Orion, Galactic Civilizations has for the most part more to offer than Masters of Orion with the...

Now THIS is a STRATEGY game with some MEAT and POTATOES to play with(unlike Rise of Nations). Very well done and the computer AI is kicking my butt on "normal" settings!!
I'm in the learning stages but already I enjoy this one over...

This is a good game. I have played it for 20 hours and find it difficult. It actually frustrates me. I want to believe the computer is cheating, but its probably not. If you want a challenge... this is one.
It has crashed a few times...

What can I say, after playing Master of Orion II, I've been spoiled. All games in the turn based empire-building genre pale compared to that one.
This game is well thought out and has a great AI (if you choose to play at higher levels). ...

After playing GCiv I have a few issues with the game. The game is not as intuitive as some say. It does take a few game beginnings to get the feel for the game and how it works. The manual is horrible and leaves you guessing. If you are...

Everything that MOO3 should have been. An interesting 4X space game with story elements that allow you to define the nature of your empire (i.e. good/evil). Sound, graphics, etc. are good, not great, but certainly up to the task of a...

Galactic Civilizations joins the top 10 of 4x games ever made. Like most turn-based games the graphics are a bit dated, as are the sounds, but the gameplay is key. Stardock has managed to balance micro and macro management in a way so perfect that...

AI in games has taken a huge leap forward. This game offers 1-5 alien species to compete with, all customizable from fool to genius, from very evil to very good. This is a true strategy game. There are plenty of tactical games in this genre and...
