Being an avid fan of the SNES I owned, and loved Killer Instinct, the graphics! the combos! the ORCHID!!!! yeah she was cool doing all those big kicks that made he feel like a man... but thats a different story
KIG sticks to the roots of its SNES glory and tries to be the same game only better! they try really hard and achieve alot but a few minor issues make this one fall into the "could of" pile.
Like most new fighters KIG is based on combos, not just 5 hit or 8 hit combos but combo that can consists of up to 48 hits!!! yes these combos are excellent to pull off and leave your opponents wetting themselves.
most of the characters make a come back apart from a few (Cinder and that indian dude) and we are greeted to a few new characters, a female ninja, an amozon queen and Tusk, a barbarian with a bloody big sword.
the graphics are good but a no-where near what the N64 is capable of whilst the gameplay is strictly limited to a 2D fighter, if only it went fully 3D it would be a great game.
This game is great if you loved the SNES version but other will find it a little dated, still.. give it a try, you might be surprised
