The Legend of Zelda takes a differant approach in this gamecube edition of the popular game series.
most notably is the graphics, deemed too 'childish' by alot of people, the game uses cell-shading, which a few years ago was all the rage, games like XIII and Viewtiful Joe showed us cell shading in all it's glory, and Zelda has not let us down.
The graphics go well with the colourful nature of the game, everybody is all very happy and comical, even the bad guys, it's a nice change from all the seriousness that has plauged out video consoles.
The gameplay and storylines are typical of Zelda games, perfect. With plenty of mini quests to do and endless sailing a plenty, this game really does take you out of the living room and puts you on a talking boat in the middle of the ocean, ready to take on the evil villains.
Zelda's music is standard nintendo music, cheerful during town parts, and downright spooky during the dungeon sections of the game, the sailing music coupled with the ocean and wind noises are excellent.
overall this game has no major flaws, however, from watching my girlfriend play it, it can get a little frsutrating to play if you're not a Zelda veteran.
9/10, 1 point taken away for the difficulty for beginners
