The gameplay shows promise at first but quickly falls apart.  The point of the game is to go to the monsters tower, get monsters to help the character fight, earn money/items, and improve the town.  The town has many locals and more can be added if the player uses money earned from the tower to pay for them.  The player has to make a name for himself and help people as well as acquire the love of women in the town.  The tower levels are randomly generated.  You use monsters to help you fight.  The all falls apart from here though.  Though the game may seem open, it's very linear.  The tower's levels, though randomly generate, all seem too similar.  The random item placement also makes it an annoyance to find certain items.  Your character goes back to level 1 after you leave and you have to start over from the first floor of the dungeon.

This is a really sad looking game.  Though some neat town and character designs, the game looks terrible.  The sprites with polygon backgrounds just do not work.  The sprites are blocky and the polygons are choppy.  There is a good amount of slowdown.  The few FMVs are of poor quality.

The game also sounds bad.  Poor sound effects and poor music.  There are a few enjoyable track and some tracks are ok.  But most of it is bad.

Why does this game even have a story? It is too inconsistent and it seems as if things happen randomly.  The characters and townspeople all lack charm.  The story begins out interesting but after that, the story is almost nonexistent until the end and even then, it's nothing special at all.  You have many conversations with characters but it never goes anywhere.

Final Words: The game has potential but the execution is just average.
