Zone of the Enders looks amazing. The mech designs are really unique, and look like they were pulled right out of the Gundam series. The blue hue used on almost everything is excellent and the explosions are great. The game sounds great but the music is nothing special. Some good tracks, but some bad ones as well.
The game plays rather nicely. The controls are great and the response is relatively quick. The AI is pretty bad sometimes and very inconsistent. Sometimes, the AI won't seem too challenging but at the next moment, it'll overwhelm the player. What you have to do in certain areas is rather unclear and the game is too short. It is open and non-linear most of the time so that is nice. Combat is fun though there doesn't seem to be much variety in it. The game offers almost no replay value, but does come with a MGS2 demo disc which is a great (if short) bonus.
Final words: Looks and sounds great, but hurt by short length and gameplay.
