The gameplay is good but the game is either too easy (this is on normal) or too indirect. I was lost a many times without a clue as to what to do next. The enemies are Berserks, they attack relentlessly and take little strategy to beat. The enemies with projectiles will just shoot at you until you knock them down. There are some rather cool looking moves and movement in this game is quick. The main weapon is a sword type melee weapon but there are a variety of guns as well. The game itself isn't too long and doesn't offer much in terms of replay.
The game looks rather unpolished. Everything looks nice standing still, but as soon as you move you will notice that there are flaws. The fog effect is nice and the levels are big. Slowdown is common but it's doesn't effect gameplay very much. The shadows that cover up most of the stage could have been prevented. The atmosphere is very nice and moody though.
The game sounds good but it could have used better surround sound. The voice acting and sound effects are good. The music, whatever there is, is not the best around. But the sounds from the background seem to fit fine with the atmosphere.
The story is just a basic save humanity from the evil doers. Except that the heroine is a vampire and she has to kill her own kind to protect humans. There some many different characters but all of them are bland, even the heroine. You travel to many different places, like Germany and fight Nazis. Your goal is to find out who's behind the evil doing and stop them.
Final words: A good, enjoyable action game but lacks polish in all areas.
