This game is a complete shock. It looks absolutely beautiful! The SNES has proven it can push out outstanding graphics. The game sounds great too and, while not up to par with the graphics, it is still something to behold. The music fits the game very well; only a few times does the music seem out of place. And Mario's crying does get a bit annoying after a while.
The gameplay is great as well. Solid controls, excellent moves, near perfect level design and a great list of bosses. The game itself is not that challenging if you just want to finish the levels. But if you want to get a 100 on each stage, then get ready to spend some time with this game. Also, it has some fun bonus games. And the final boss is amazing!
The story is cute to say that least, but it is enjoyable. The ending is beautiful and will put a smile on your face. It starts and ends with such good emotion.
