Jak and Daxter, possibly the greatest platformer game to date. You play as basically Jak with his furry little friend Daxter sitting on his shoulder. You quest out to turn your friend Daxter back into a person after he fell into slimly black purple stuff called Dark Eco.
Gameplay (10) The gamepaly is as exciting as some of the ebst PS2 games out there, oyu get uppercuts, spin kicks, diving punches, double jumps, BIG jump, dive punches, and more. You have to explore a HUGE world that is all linekd together. The game shines here, BIG TIME!
Story (10) After going to a forbidden island caleld Misty Island, you are surrounded by lurkers. Jak decides to throw an explosive artifact at them knocking him back and little Daxter his partner in as well. When Daxter emerges, he is a furry creature called an ottsel. Jak and Daxter seek help from the green Sage Samos. He tells them that only Gaarl (I think that's the name) knows how to turn him back to normal. You quest to find him and get Daxter to normal! Great storyline, keeps you wanting to keep playing!
Graphics (10) The scenery is sooo beautiful and the character models look awesome. The graphcis are some of the best on PS2.
Sounds (10) The voice acting is perfect in this game, Daxter is hilarious, and Jak...well doesn't talk. Samos is old and cranky, and funny. And his daughter (Name has slipepd my mind...) is well, girlish teen girl squad type. All of the sound effects and other things are very good as well.
Loading Times (10) A new feature I am putting into my reviews, you wanna know something about the loading times in this game? THERE ISN'T ANY! Nope none at all, since the world is interally linked together, the laoding tiems are not there! Plus getting the gmae started is super fast and saving goes so quick, you are wondering where that stupid save over crap menu thing is.
Levels (10) Perfect, they are all unique and awesome!
Difficulty (Easy) The game isn't too hard, only a few bosses may make you pul lyour hair, but overall it's easy.
Replayability (8) The game doesn't have anything else to offer after it's been beaten. Oh well, the game is so good you could beat it again...and again...and again...
Controls (10) Easy to learn, nothing hard in here!
Overall - 9.75
Final Comments - Best game on the PS2 right now, only Ratchet and Clank really poses a real threat for it and I just got it. Great game, so buy it! NOW!
