This was amazing. Truly amazing. For years I have honestly believed that as movies get sequels they become worse, and as video games get sequels they tend to get better and improve. This game defied that generalization to say the least.
The first Parappa was far superior in many areas. Yes, the graphics have improved, but who really cares about graphics when you are just playing it for the music?
In this sequel, the lyrics are not as amusing, the rhythm is somewhat mundane, and these songs truly have a feel of elevator music. The only level that had any degree of fun was the first one.
The multiplayer part was a nice try, but a definite failure.
This is a game to rent once, enjoy playing it through, and then be thankful you didn't pay to own it.
