The "Legend of Zelda - The Wind Waker" came out to be the best action-adventure of the next generation - and it is.
Graphics:
The most discussed aspect of the game is the cel-shading look of Link and his surroundings. Definetely it is one worth to discuss. The question to think about is: Does this graphic style fit into the epic scenario presented in The Legend of Zelda? - And the only answer to this question is: ABSOLUTELY! Anybody who has seen the wobbly heat effect in the first dungeon, the animation of Link's enemies or Link's perfectly designed mimic would verify this.

Sounds:
Another part which makes "The Legend of Zelda - The Wind Waker" differ from its prequels is the sound. All "Zelda" games have this one theme in the title screen everybody, familiar with video games, knows. Wind Waker leaves this road also. The melody mentioned above is only played in the intro on a violin. Throughout the whole game the sound ripples beside the action and underlines it in certain situations.

Story:
The story of "Wind Waker" sometimes seems to have its length but is never boring. Many parts are presented with so much love that you only recognise the sheer beauty of them. The different citizens of the islands and there behaviour gives you a feeling which I am not abled to describe: It is just fine talking to and interacting with them.
9/10
Gameplay:
The controlling and interacting with Link and his environment is as easy as nowhere else in this genre.
Every move is designed to use it and to see what effect it releases. The Lock-On feature added from the N64 "Zelda's" simply is the best way to fight while the third person view is the best way to move over the islands.
There are only two points worth critisising: The camera has some moments where it is badly positioned and the boat-driving sometimes is (only as long as you are not able to "whirle") too long.
9/10
Overall:
As said in the beginning, "The Legend of Zelda - The Wind Waker" overall is the best action-adventure game on any next generation console.
Every aspect of this game which is not perfect must be searched with a magnifier and does not make the game less fascinating.
