Metroid Fusion for the Game Boy Advance is a stunning Bitmap-Shooter, implying all attributes, which made the Metroid-Series popular.
Graphics:
The action is presented in a side-scrolling way as usual in all Metroid games until Metroid Prime. The bosses are very impressive looking, while the general enemies are a little bit monotone. They have not enough animations; neither is there a great number of differnt enemies. Also positive remarks are the explosions and the surroundings which create a very galactic atmosphere.
8/10
Sounds:
The Sound of the game is another part which creates the great atmosphere described above. The Soundtrack as much as the effects let you become a part of the game.
9/10
Story:
The Story is presented in little cutscenes, often underlied by short text-passages. They describe Samus' arrival on the planet, her contact with the X-virus, the relationship between her and the board-computer and her experiences with Metroids.
7/10
Gameplay:
A delicous mixture betwenn action and exploration. Controlling Samus means fun and also if the bosses are hard, you will always try to be better. It is not possible to explain how it is to play Metroid Fusion, you must feel it.
10/10
Overall:
Overall it hast to be said that Metroid Fusion is one of the best side-scrolling shooters of the last years. There is not any action-game which can match with Metroid Fusion on The Game Boy Advance.
