If one was to ask what kind of game True Crime is, I wouldn't be able to tell you. Its equally distributed between fighting, shooting, and driving. While shooting to me never really gets boring, the fighting does tend to get annoying after the 20th fight scene. The other thing I didnt like was that the game was made so that driving from one place to another was a completion of a task. There is around 8 tasks in a chapter and there is around 10 chapters. Witin one chapter, 3 tasks are completed just for driving to a designated location.
You can attempt to stop all the little crimes that go on the street during the driving tasks but sometimes one just wants to go on with the mission. When you are on the street the game is kinda like GTA but in a cops perspective. The story in the game is very weak, and it comes to the point where you might not care you just want to see what you have to do next. The game is solid but its a rental first to see if you will like the gameplay and its enormous map of LA. I gave it an 84%.
Graphics-8 Blury when driving and not sharp to today,s standard
Sound 8.5- If you like rap, great soundtrack, Kang's (main character)voice gets annoying after a while.
Gameplay 9- with all the things you can do and upgrades in weapons, vehicles, and fighting techniques, the game comes on top
Lasting Appeal 8.5- Story is rather weak, but you can replay any mission again. The in between stuff can get you going for weeks.
