Planescape: Torment is an unorthodox RPG, but also the best I've ever played. It uses a similar game engine as Baldur's Gate, but the story and game is MUCH different. Planescape: Torment is set in a totally different world, you will find no dwarves or hobbits here. The NPCs and the teammates you can find are superb for the game, varying from a girl with a tail, a talking skull, and a suit of armor. Did I mention the game was unorthodox? The graphics are mediocre, but they get the job done. The music is superb, as are the sound effects. As an RPG, this game is top notch, you have stats, items, and everything you'd expect. The game is based on D&D rules. The humor in this game is awesome also. The only noticable problem with the game is that it's too short! This game would get a 10 if it were longer. If you enjoy RPGs, you must get this game.
