The first version of Madden on the Gameboy Advance is a great effort by EA Sports. This game is basically a port of the earlier Maddens for the SNES and the Sega Genesis, which isn't a bad thing necessarily. The game obviously has updated rosters too. The gameplay is keen, even though with some skill a player can easily rack up hundreds of points in a 48 minute game. The graphics are not stunning, but there never is any slowdown, which is a benefit. The sound is mediocre. Other faults include a lack of a Franchise Mode, no Season Stat tracking, no ability to trade players, and no ability to create players. With all these faults is this game fun? The truth is simply, yes. If you enjoy football, you'd enjoy this game.
