Rented the game and beat all boards with all characters. The game doesn't take long to beat.
I think that any LOTR fan should play the game. It is a fun 3rd person action game that utilizes the basic hack and slash set up. It only fails HUGELY by not being multi-player.
Some of the Good:
Finally a decent movie translation.
Nice to return LOTR fans to the actual events and places we watched from the first two movies.
Hack and Slash fun.
Nice inventory of combos.
Nice organization of a points-based/mission reward system.
The sound is phenomenal on a surround sound system.
Some of the Bad:
NOT A MULTIPLAYER GAME (WTF?)!!!
Hack and Slash repetativeness.
Camera Angles can be tricky sometimes.
Little strategy needed.
Doesn't add anything new or extra to the existing storyline.
Overall:
Very annoying that its not multiplayer. Anyone that doesnt like Hack and slash action like HUNTER THE RECKONING should stay away. There is little strategy required but that is also the fun in it' its a definite plug and play type game. Also, you get to play as GIMLI, LEGALOS, and AARAGON and must work towards building each character so you can unlock all the hidden features. The game is beaten quickly but to do it with every character will take more time.
LOTR fans will rate this 7or8 out of 10 while non-LOTR fans will rate this 5or6 out of 10.
