A shooter fans dream? Perhaps. To me though, the game is fun, but a bit on the overly difficult side with almost no encouragment to do better. The game is short, but the amazing difficulty will make it seem long as it will take a good while to see the end. Unique this game is using a color switching shield method to dodge incoming fire as to not die quite so often. Absorption of these colors is key as they can build up a bar for a very explosive and useful shot. Fast pased and frantic, Ikaruga is a pretty good shooter, considered also as the successor to Radiant Silvergun. Fun, hard, and frustrating is the easiest one sentence thought I can give for a review on this. Play, but beware if you got a temper, it maybe advisable to play in a padded room.
