Wow!  Can a game get any closer to Star Wars perfection? The kind of perfection that sends rehabilitated family men right back to that ol box in the corner of the basement closet...  You know the one I am talking about.  The one with that cheesy plastic lightsaber that went whoosh when you swung it...  and the toy blaster and let's not forget the 89 unopened boxes containing all those 'really expensive' star wars action figures...  you have them and so do I.  This is just so Star Wars (not episode 1 and 2, mind you, but more like episodes 4, 5, and 6) that you will just stop and watch so much during the conversations and the character interaction and wonder how it could have possibly been better.  It is awe inspiring.  It is just the best darn starwars game I have ever played period!
The battle system is quite nice with it's mix of real time and turn based that is totally up to you...  you can pause the game and assign actions to every one in your party any time you want and you can even assign those actions while the action is going..  if you like.  The way your upgrade choices affect your battle capabilities is just great!  Everything you choose to do with your character and the other characters you pick up along the way affects the story and how the game is played somewhere down the line and I think that this is one of the things that makes a game great.  You can go along the dark or light sides of the force with obvious decisions throught the game both through conversational choices and who you actually choose to kill or help...  it is all up to you!
I would have no morals if I gave this game an overall thumbs up with not a single problem in sight, so here goes..  two problems.
1 - The graphics could have been better..  the textures are really washed out in places, but for lucas arts, this is actually amazing.
2 - The loading times could have been cut down just a tad...
Aside from those two problems, you are looking at star wars goodness that just reeks of professional polish that you will never regret shelling out fifty bucks for.
Enjoy!
