This game tries to do it all - be a flight-based shooter, a FPS and a 3rd person platformer. And it end up being mediocre at all of them. The Hoth level, one of the best, tells the tale - you have the normal rope-the-ATAT, tthen you take to the land. This didn't belong on the PC, it just didn't work very well.
Every game has to make compromises, even when it stays to a single genre. This game tries three genres, and as a result it is too full with compromises. I understand it is better on the N64, but on the PC it is just not very much fun. Which is too bad because the story is very good, and I figured I could get used to the gameplay in order to pursue the story.
