NCAA Football 2004 doesn't bring a whole lot of new things to the series, but there is just something about this version that keeps you playing non-stop! The Sports Illustrated feature is a nice addition, as well as the EA Bio. Your EA Bio keeps track or your greatest games, playing time, and gives you a ranking for how much time you spend in the game. The very first thing I noticed in the game was how the players seemed to block a little better on the kick off return. It just looked a lot more realistic than in 2003. The game is an absolute blast, even if you can't play online with the Xbox version.
The graphics this year seemed a bit different. They don't look as shiny and realistic as in 2003 for some reason. They still look great, but they lost a little of the realistic look to them. They took a step toward looking like NFL2k's graphics, but not anywhere close to that cartoonish looking.
The control and gameplay in NCAA Football 2004 can't get much better! The new fake pitch feature brings a whole new aspect to the game. You can now choose whether to pitch it, fake it, then cut back up the middle, or pass it (with the TR option pass play). The gameplay with this years version will keep you playing for many hours into the night! Even more so than last years version.
A LOT of the commentary is recycled from last year. However, last years wasn't really too bad, so I only knocked 1 pt off it. The hits and fight songs sound great still!
There is so much to do in this game. You'll be playing it until 2005 comes out! If you have friends to play with, it'll have even more replay value!
