After reading all the great reviews for this game, me a friend went and bought this game expecting it to help replace Halo.  Sadly, we were very dissapointed.  I seriosly wonder if all the magazines that reviewed this game played the same one we were playing.  Anyway, I'll cut to the chase:

Single Player: An average experience.  You can tell this game was made for PC, namely by the aiming sensitivity and control scheme.  Aiming is annoying, as my friend and I resorted to meerly using the knife whenever we could.  I couldn't find anything extrodinary about the single player experience.

Multiplayer: So we pop this puppy in hopes of duking it out and we learn that you can only play multiplayer with Xbox Live or a system link.  WHAT THE HECK? If you are buying this for multiplayer and you don't have Xbox Live or 2 Xbox's, 2 copies of the game, or a system link, you can forget it.  And cooperative mode isn't too hot either.  The animations of your partner are very choppy and look as though they consist of only a few frames.  Attack speeds are also inconsistent.I looked at my friend who was knifing somebody and on his screen, his knife was attacking very rapidly, but on mine, it was doing so very slowly.  Ok, that doesn't make sense, but oh well.  Couple that with repetive and bland textures and environments, and you have a lackluster experience.  Oh, and those stupid nazi's don't ever die.  It takes 3 knife stabs in the head or 8 torso shots to kill just one of the stupid things.

Overall: Steer clear of this disaster.  I haven't played it on Xbox Live, so maybe it's ok there, but everything else is average and bland.  I expected better from Id.
