Sacred has all the elements needed for a current RPG title. Having loved Diablo II this game came natural to me. It has the same hack and slash method as Diablo II with new weapons, amazing spells, and a very nice control panel. I would also compare this game to Nox, a lower scale pc rpg. The best part of the game is that is it free roaming. The world is yours to conquer whichever missions you agree to take on. Of course there is a main storyline path, but you are free to take on other missions as well. Being able to ride a horse for extra speed and protection is very innovative.
The class I chosen to take on was Battle Mage. He has the most amazing spells that look stunning. Not many games have a mage that can also attack; this was a no brainer for me. He also has a sense of humor, for instance when he kills a boss he might shout out "You call yourself strong?" There are many other unique classes to take up such as a Vampiress. Those characters have leeching ability like no other.
The monster sounds can get a bit annoying when you have hordes of the same one running after you. The music sets a good tone for each scene and mostly stays out of the way.
The graphics are a bit more refined at 1020x728 resolution, compared to Diablo II's 800x600 Max. This game is so deep that some characters online are level 100+. This means that the replay value is through the roof! I definitely recommend this game to any RPG/Action fan!
