Well first of all, I'll start with the pros of Red Faction 2. The games is easy to get into and has nice controls. Finally, there is a FPS with bosses, that can be actually hard. You can use two guns and have separate fire controls for each. Also, the Mech levels are pretty fun and get you into the game more. There are lots of multiplayer maps and bots to choose from. But...Unfortunately this game is probably made for the kids. Because there are so many flaws that the more experienced gamers see which makes me frown upon this game. First of all, there are the drab crayola type graphics which make the game seem corny. In the non CG cut scenes you can really see the lack of effort put into the graphics. The bots in multiplayer move around kinda like stick men, which looks funny. You will go though the campaign using the grenade laucher because most of the bad guys take whole clips to die. Fortunately there are plenty of bullets around, along with a over-stocked arsenal of machine guns. This game boasts GeoMod which you will barely use, probably because most walls you can not destroy. The makers of the game selected certain walls that you can take out and the other 97% of the game terrain is indestructable. So in turn, GeoMod gets a thumbs down. GeoMod barely affects the gameplay which is a huge disappointment. In one of the very few levels you can pilot a sub and destroy other sub type looking vechiles. I would had to say this is the worst level on any game I have ever played. The horrid graphics really stand out here as you will see. The makers of this game tried so hard and fell so short. It makes me wonder if this game was even played before its release. If your a FPS fan it MAY be worth a rent. But beware you will finish the game in about 6.5 hours which is unacceptibly short. I give this game a generous 4.5 out of 10. George, I read your reviews. You don't have a clue what you are talking about. Do you even play the games before you review them? You gave Red Faction 2 a good score. You probably think Red Faction is better than Halo. You should be fired. For reading your reviews I have actually lost intelligence and the will to live. I bet you even think Turok Evolution is a good game. Read my reviews and learn a thing or two. Read the one on Red Faction 2 and Turok Evolution. Please.... Or at least give me your job.
