Sonic Heroes tries to change to be different then the Sonic Adventure series, but also tries to have the same basics, is that even possible?
In Sonic Heroes it seems they tried to bring a bit of MK:DD into the world of Sonic, now you'll have to think about switching characters and breaking boxes followed by a bit of flying. This doesn't sounds bad at first, but try this in a game that at the full speed of Sonic Adventure complete with the same controls (and problems) as SA2B.
Sonic Heroes failed in everything it tries, in a horrible way. Not only are the same Sonic Adventure present, but the levels are just too long for a Sonic game, wich also explains the long loading times. The multiplayer could and should have been the most fun thing of the game, but the frame-rate problems i've had with it where enough for me and my friends to stop playing it.
But the thing i hate the most of the game is that there is no Chao Garden anymore, possible the best thing the Adventure series had has been left out.
For those that are huge Sonic fans, and don't care for all these problems this game can still be enjoyable, but not as much as most Sonic games.
Sonic Heroes has rental written all over it, or maybe is a love it or hate it kind of game, since i can't see much fun in it.
