I don't know if the older crash games are any good, but this one is made completely obsolete by all the other great PS2 platformers. Its a straight forward, hop and bop romp thats plagued by all the platformer clishes there are. It brings nothing new to the table and doesn't do well giving us more of what we're used to. Its like someone took the platformer genre and simplified it until they couldn't dumb it down any more. Also it does so much wrong that it plunges below the lower limit of mediocracy. The controls are quite clumsy and the graphics and sound are below average ps2 fare. Someone might see this as a cute game for kids, but no kid would tolerate this game, especially with its uneven difficulty. The game is either too hard or completely impossible, mainly due to the unresponsive controls. The long load times make it even more unbearable. I can't tell you how annoying it is to die over and over again from a boss because you jump a second or two after you touch the button, only to have to wait five minutes to load each time (no exageration) you need to use a continue. Its unplayable. If you liked the other crash games, try jak and daxter insted. Its made by the same guys as the old crash games and its actually FUN. Thats why we play games. For FUN! I give it a 3 out of ten.
