Mildly diverting entertainment.
First off all, the only reason that I have a copy of this game is that a friend of mine got it, didn't want it, and gave it to me. I played it for a few hours, and got bored pretty quickly. Blade and Sword is a Diablo clone that, unlike Divine Divinity, is a step backwards in the action RPG genre. At first, hacking a slashing Diablo-style through imperial China is fun, but soon the shallowness and monotony of the game wears down on you. There are only 16 skills per character, whereas the Diablo II had a whole complex tech tree, and there is no way to equip alternate armor or weapons, and no way to fiddle with your stats (strength, agility, etc.) when you level up. I mean, the game has its fun qualities at times, so it wouldn't be a bad game if it were being offered as a free download or a $5 bargain bin title, but there are just so many better games out there that there is really no reason to play this game unless you get stuck on a desert island with a lifetime supply of food, a computer, and a copy of Blade and Sword.
