I enjoyed this expansion to the original game very much. I had taken a break from Everquest, only to come back and play with this expansion enabled. I really enjoyed playing on the Kunark area. I spent many a level fighting at the Lake of Ill Omen Zone with people that had been around awhile and actually liked working together.
The graphics added a bit and the new items were a nice suprise. And I could finally kill a giant with help from a cleric and another melee!
Of course the downside is that camping is still the norm as well as twinking. But of course with a good group there are many items and zones that you can do well in. A guild always helps.
I give this expansion a 8 with the original game still getting a 9.
