I was a huge fan of the first KOTOR game, so I was very exited when I got my hands on part two.  Now after playing the game as far through as I can (more on that later) I have mixed feelings about this game.  Let me explain.

Graphics: 7
Although I haven't compared them side by side it feels as if they look exactly the same from part one.  Somehow I expected more and better graphics, but on the other hand if you have played part one, you will feel at home immediately.  The quality is not of the Doom3 or HL2 kind, but nevertheless pleasant to the eye.

Sound: 8
Well, in essence the same story as with the graphics, but it is less bothering, the Star Wars music is not intrusive but adds a real SW atmosphere to the game.  The voices are very good and fit the characters perfectly.  Lightsaber swooshes and other sound effects are spot on.

Gameplay: 7
If you have played part one, you will have no problem getting into part two.  But if you haven't than you will very quickly feel at home as well.  This is a RPG game for everyone.  You are not hit over the head with statistics if you don't want to, just use the auto level up feature.  But if you do like to tinker with every experience point gained than you can do that as well.  The way you move around with your character on the different worlds takes a bit getting used to, because you have to use mouse and keyboard, but every FPS player will get the hang of it in under five minutes.

Story: 6
The story is a bit of a mess.  Where there was a lot of suspence in part one, there is none whatsoever in part two.  From the very first moment you can guess what will be in store.  There is no guessing who is the bad guy.  It all feels very rushed.

Which brings me to the biggest problem with this game.  Not only the story seems rushed, but the whole game is.  There are a *LOT* of bugs during the game.  Subtitles going to fast so you don't know what the alien said, quests that are impossible to complete because you did something in a way the makers did not think of and most annoyingly: some complete show stopper bugs.

In other words: bugs that prevent you from ever completing the game.  This is very very bad from Lucasarts.  Some people at the quality control department need to be sacked for this.  I am at a point in the game where I cannot leave my ship on a certain planet anymore without the game crashing and I am not the only one with this or a similar problem.

Hopefully Lucasarts and Obsidian will better their lives and come up with a patch that solves all problems, but for now I am deducting a point from the overall score.

Overall: 6, if the bugs get solved 7
