It was hyped to be a "Grand Theft Auto-killer", boasting an improved fighting system, Hong Kong-style action, and a detailed re-creation of the city of L.A.
Maybe they got a little too ambitious, but this game feels like a pretty big disappointment to me. Not only is the action not all it's cracked up to be, but there are noticeable bugs and technical issues. Clipping is pretty common, and jaggies litter the streets worse than crime does. One thing the game got right was the city itself. It looks very accurate and detailed, and almost feels as if you're there. Other than that, this game spread itself thin.
