An incredibly fun, addictive game that does a good job simulating the rock experience. The game can be fun with the dual-shock controller, yes (I had to wait a couple of days for the guitar to come in), but you definitely want to spring for the package.
The song selection in this game is excellent. There are tons of catchy and memorable songs that have shown up everywhere in our culture, commercials, etc...there are hardly any songs you won't enjoy playing.
IMHO, the song list is a lot better than its sequel, GH2. If you're a fan of rhythm games or even music in general, you definitely want to play this game. I was not a real fan of music games or rock, but I still have a blast playing Guitar Hero. I can't imagine anyone not enjoying this.
