Project Gotham Racing 2 is perhaps the best Xbox racing game in my oppinion. This is my review of Project Gotham Racing 2.
Graphics:
What do I have to say about its graphics? Well, its fantastic! Every single car is so detailed that it looks like a real car. The tracks, and the background graphics are so beautiful that you might just stare at them and forget about the race. However, with all those eye popping graphics, there is one tiny little flaw. The lighting sources are not displayed nicely. Example, when the cars are blocked from the sunlight, it does not get darker. But anyway, don't worry about it though.
Sound:
The engines sound nice and clear throughout. When tires screech, it sounds just like the real thing. About the music, well you don't have to worry about because you can use your own custom sound tracks.
Gameplay:
PGR2 is not a usual racing game that you just go out there and win the race. You can earn points, which are called kudos. You can get them by drifting, driving stylish, overtaking, doing a 360, etc. There are 3 modes opened for you to get your cars flying, Kudos World Series, Arcade Mode, and Time Attack. In Kudos World Series, once you have earned enough Kudos, you can earn different amount of tokens which are used to buy cars in the game. There are over 100 cars in PGR2, ranging from American Muscles to Ultimate Classes. The great things is, the handling and weight of the all the cars are absolutely different. Overall, Bizzare did an awesome job on the gameplay department.
Controls:
The controls are very easy to learn and master. In fact, PGR2 has one of the best racing controls around. The controls respond very well either with the Xbox "S" Controller or the original big Xbox Controller.
BUY It or Rent it?
Go get this game right now!! Its dead awesome! Don't bother to rent it or think it over on whether to buy it or not. PGR2 is definitely worth every penny. Well, its the end of my review and I hope it did help someone.
