Alrite, this is one of the very few games that has girls as main role in a racing game. It makes the game more exciting though. Here is my review for R:Racing Evolution.
Graphics:
The graphics are quite okay. The cars does not really look exactly like real life cars, but they are quite detailed. Although you can see jaggies on the cars, but well you get used to it. The tracks are wonderful! The tracks are detailed but it has jaggies too. Hmm, looks like the graphics pulled the game down afterall.
Sound:
The engines don't quite sound realistic. There is a very few selection of music and most of them are very boring. The voice-overs in are alrite, but there are some cliches though.
Gameplay:
There is a story mode which consist of 14 chapters. Within each chapter, you can unlock cars and earn RPpoints. You will use those RPpoints to upgrade and buy tracks as well. The downfall is, the story mode is very short. You can finish it in a couple of hours. The AI of the other computer racers are nicely done. Each of them acts differently as well. There is also a pressure meter, you follow your opponent behind and apply presure on them. Once the pressure meter is full, they will spin which gives you an oputinity to overtake him.
Controls:
Same as most racing games, the controls are pretty alrite. They don't response and you can't turn nicely sometimes though.
geT it or RENt it??
R:Racing Evolution is an average racing game. I can only say just rent this thing as you can beat and unlock everything in the game in just one day. Well, the of my review, hope you enjoyed it.
