Enter feudal Japan, where wars have been outraged for power over Japan.  Well, Samurai Warriors is pretty similar to the Dynasty Warriors series.  Just that it takes part in Japan, and its also much shorter.  Anyway, here is my review of Samurai Warriors.

Graphics:
Pretty similar to Dynasty Warriors 4 graphics.  Each warrior is designed pretty deeply as I only find little jaggies around the them.  The CG though, its pretty as well.  The battlefield? Well, this time there are a little more enviroments to interact with rather than in DW4 where you just go around the field killing and doing stuffs.  I would say Koei just used DW4 graphics engine in Samurai Warriors, just that its tone of colors are a little better.

Sound:
Hmm, the music sometimes can feel dull.  I'll say DW4's music is better(maybe because I'm chinese).  However, the voice acting is great in Samurai Warriors.  Examples as Hattori Hanzo, the ninja, everytime he assinate someone he says something real cool.

Gameplay:
Hack, Slash, Fulfilling missions that you are given.  So yea, pretty much similar to the DW series.  However, there are siege castles in some point of the game.  You start off with 5 warriors, each with their individual tale.  You will unlock more and more warriors will be available, and finally getting Nobunaga Oda the Demon himself.  You get experiance points after each stage, thus allowing you to get additional upgraded combos and buffs for the warrior you are playing.  The weapons? Well, you get them pretty randomly while fighting in the battlefield(same as in DW3).  So its not like the usual DW4 where you stick to a weapon and lvl it up.

If you did enjoy the DW series, then this game is definitely for you.  I mean take a break from China history, and learn about Japan history.  Or even if you are a person who likes killing hordes of enemies, then Samurai Warriors will be the ideal game for you.
