DOA3 is high quality fighting game just like about every other top fighter out there. It follows the mold of very little story, great graphics, and really fun gameplay.
Gameplay - Well you have your wide array of characters to choose from. You have you powerful hulks, your quick guys, your old guy, and your women. Each has there own advantages so none are really better than the others. First there is the story mode, you go through fighting foe after foe until you finally get to the big bad boss. To get past your enemy you have a a large range of different attaks to take. There are grabs and throws, punches, kicks, and power attacks. A very useful way to get through some stages is also blocking and then countering. Doing so can swing the momentum and take away a lot of health. Also a huge part of the game is the interactive enviroments. Some have multiple layers so you can throw your oponent off the stage and do damage that way. Also you game throw, kick, etc into walls, trees, etc to give out damage. Other sections of the game are the time attack where you go up against a string of oponents, and try to deeat them as quickly as possible. There is the vs mode where you can go against a friend, and there is the survival mode where you fight oponents forever and try to rack up the most points you can. There is also a team mode where you pick for characters and go up against four other characters. To add some differences to a couple modes there is the ability to go in with a partner and have a teammate that will help give you a rest if you get beat up a little to bad.
Graphics - Well since this is a Tecmo game you can expect amazing graphics, and you get them here. The cinematics are amazing and stunning and the in game graphics are also very well done.
Sound - Characters sound good, environmental sounds are about right. The music isn't bad, I personally don't like the choice to use Aerosmith, but it actually fits into the game very well.
Replay Factor - As with any other fighting game this is going to be pretty high. You'll always want to go back and try to top you high score in survival or beat your best time in the time attack. Also since there is the vs mode, when a friend is over you may just put this game in the trusty Xbox and and have fun.
