The Need for Speed series has been great throughout the years but this time instead of exotic cars they decided to go into the world of Street Racing. In Need for Speed Underground you start off as an unknown racer and later on meet a couple of friends on the way and battle rivals across the city with speeds over 175mph. The story in this game isn't much but is decent. The graphics in this game are superb, the streets are wet and the cars in the game are fully detailed. The sound in this game is outstanding. Loud engines, burning tires what more could you ask for. The modes in this game are fun as well you have Circuit, Drag, Drifting and the infamous Lap Knockout. If your looking for any all American muscle cars in this game don't get your hopes up there isn't any. The only closes thing to an American car would be the Focus in this game. There are over 25+ cars in the game from manufactures such as Toyota, Honda, Mitsubishi, ect. The game is quite a challenge but the replay value is great. The main concept in this game is you can customize your car from engine, body kits, vinyls, rims, from many different sponsors. What lacks in this game are cars and levels in this game because most of the time you are going backwards through the city. Also cops in this game would be nice since they are in the culture of the underground world of street racing. Overall if you’re into street racing this is the perfect game for you.
